Anthea Kissel


Anthea has a warm and collaborative approach and is passionate about supporting people to create lasting change and improve their quality of life. Anthea is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She completed Post Graduate studies in Psychology through Monash University. Anthea takes a person-centred approach in her therapy where sessions are tailored towards an individual’s values and goals. She prioritises rapport to help people feel comfortable and supported in session.

Anthea is experienced in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), phobias, substance dependence, stress, interpersonal difficulties, and problems associated with adjustment. She is also experienced in providing behavioural support for diganoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Anthea predominantly utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but is also experienced in other evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She is experienced in formulating Positive Behaviour Support Plans and providing Specialist Behavioural Intervention. Anthea has a special interest in cognitive and functional assessment and is experienced in administering a range of assessment tools and producing psychological reports.
