Cory Holland
I am a Provisional Psychologist completing my Master of Clinical Psychology at Charles Sturt University. Before training in psychology, I served in the Australian Army, where I developed a deep understanding of resilience, teamwork and the challenges people face during and after service. My military background has shaped a grounded and compassionate approach to therapy, with a focus on practical strategies that promote recovery and growth.
I really enjoy building rapport and creating a trusting therapeutic relationship with each client. I believe that change happens most effectively when people feel heard, respected and supported in a safe space. My sessions focus on helping individuals understand their experiences, build self-awareness and develop effective coping skills to improve their wellbeing.
I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them through a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties and stress. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognise and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, while promoting positive lifestyle and mindset changes that lead to healthier, more balanced lives.
I am passionate about empowering people to reach their potential and find meaning through personal growth. My aim is to help each client build resilience, develop self-understanding and create lasting change both within and beyond therapy.
