Hi, I’m Hayley and I’m a Provisional Psychologist here at The Psych Professionals.
I have always had an interest in human behaviour and knew from early on that I was passionate about helping and supporting those around me, but I wasn’t quite sure how to make that into a career. Starting out in a Bachelor of Arts to trial different areas of interest, I eventually found myself so interested in psychology that I ended up completing my Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons) as well as a Master of Professional Psychology.
My previous roles have allowed me to work with clients of all ages. I have experience in working with clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD and those diagnosed with ASD. I have a genuine passion for supporting and uplifting my clients and working with them to utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy to achieve their goals.
I am a strong believer in supporting my clients to regulate their emotions and physiological responses to stressors. Once this is achieved, I work with them to develop strategies to support them in changing their thinking. I strive to always centre treatment around the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, as well as strengths (rather than just the client’s presenting concern), to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and best practice care for my clients.
I offer unconditional positive regard to all clients and pride myself on creating a safe and supportive environment to help them through the ups and downs in their lives. I love my role as a provisional psychologist and am honoured to support and help my clients thrive!
