Child Psychologist and Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)

Jackie is a Child Psychologist and Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) located at our Capalaba practice. She has a broad range of experience working with our very youngest clients from 12 months old and their families.

Jackie supports her clients with parenting, behaviour management, play, communication and learning, social skills, anxiety, self-esteem, and child development. Jackie has a special interest in comprehensive diagnostic, cognitive, developmental and behavioural assessments. Jackie has extensive experience working with children with a developmental disability, including ASD, and their families, prior to and following diagnosis.

Jackie has completed a master’s degree in Applied Psychology-Behaviour Analysis (MAppPsy-BA), and a Postgraduate Diploma in the Practice of Psychology (PGDipPracPsych) at the University of Waikato (NZ). Jackie holds accreditation as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Jackie has attended accredited training workshops for the Autism Diagnosis Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), Autism Diagnosis Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development (Bayley-3).

Jackie is an accredited facilitator of the Secret Agent Society (SAS) Small group program and uses principles from Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her clinical practise. She follows an individualised family centred approach to treatment and continues to participate in regular peer supervision to keep up to date with clinical research.
