Lachlan Whitwell
My name is Lachlan Whitwell, and I am a registered psychologist. I began my career in health as a Podiatrist, but soon discovered that what fascinated me most was not just the physical side of health, but how people’s habits, thinking, and social worlds shape their overall wellbeing. This led me to retrain as a Psychologist, where I could focus on helping people better understand the “brain end” of pain, make meaningful changes, and navigate life’s challenges.
Since making the switch, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping people deepen their self-understanding and uncover the strengths and abilities they already hold. My approach is very collaborative – I believe clients should always understand the “why” behind a strategy or intervention, and I take the time to make sure we’re working together, on the same page, every step of the way.
I work with clients of all ages, however I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents and teens and can see kids from the age of 6+.
If you’re feeling ready to make some changes, explore your/your child’s strengths, or simply gain a clearer understanding of yourself/your child, I’d be glad to work with you. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or just want to prioritise wellbeing, I’m here to support you/your child. Please feel free to get in touch to book a session or ask any questions.
