The Psych Professionals Fees
The Psych Professionals fees are dependent on the experience of our clinicians.
Individuals
Initial session (50 mins)
Medicare Rebates
To be eligible to receive psychological services under Medicare, you will need to be referred by your GP or another specialist. It is recommended you speak with your GP regarding your eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan. For those who have a valid GP referral and where a Mental Health Care Plan has been submitted to Medicare, the rebates are listed below.
Appointments with Provisional Psychologists and counsellors are not eligible to have a rebate claimed from Medicare.
Please note: The Psych Professionals do not offer bulk-billed appointments or discounts for health care card holders.
The Psych Professionals also operates under several funding pathways with no out of pocket costs including:

Correspondence

Written, email or verbal correspondence with Doctors, Specialists, School and other professional agencies
Cost: $100-$250
Legal Correspondence
Details of assessment:
Preparation and completion of any correspondence (including attendance at legal proceedings)
Cost: $260 per hour
Other Services
The Psych Professionals complete other services including reports and communication with other parties, however, whether these are able to be completed and the associated costs, are dependent on the situation. Please contact our office regarding other services.
After Hours Surcharge
The Psych Professionals offers appointments outside of office hours, which incur a $20 after hours surcharge. The surcharge applies to appointments booked from 4pm or later on weekdays, and all weekend appointments.
Cancellation Policy
For us to provide you with the best and most accessible service there are fees for cancellations and missed appointments. To avoid these fees, please provide us with as much notice as possible.

Cancellations fees are charged as this time has been set aside for you and cannot be filled at short notice. Please note cancellation fees are only billed if an appointment is unable to be filled with another client appointment.
As a courtesy to you, we may send you a SMS reminder for your appointments booked. This may occur up to 3 days before your scheduled appointment. However, this is a courtesy service only and should we experience staff shortages or technical difficulties this will not occur. As such, it remains your responsibility to attend sessions and the absence of a SMS reminder will not lead to cancellation fees being waived.
The Psych Professionals reserves the right to reschedule appointments at any time, without compensation, if it is deemed necessary due to staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
