Leanda Carruthers

Leanda is a Registered Psychologist working mostly with adults and adolescents aged 18+, and will be working in a telehealth capacity to help support clients.
Considering herself to be open, approachable, and also down to earth; Lea creates a supportive environment for clients to feel comfortable to navigate their concerns, issues or needs.
Lea appreciates the bravery, courage, and also the vulnerability it takes to step into a space of personal reflection and healing. However, she believes that when people invest in themselves it leads to positive change and growth. She truly values people’s willingness to share parts of who they are, alongside their life experiences. Therefore, witnessing stories unfold and holding a safe space for people is the part of her role as a psychologist she never takes for granted.
Lea is experienced to provide support with a range of personal difficulties or life experiences. This includes depressive issues, anxiety issues, adjustment difficulties, interpersonal issues or parenting support. However, she holds a special interest in working with chronic disease, oncology, palliative care, death & dying, death anxiety, grief & loss issues, as well as bereavement. Lea has been working in these areas for several years and would love to reach more individuals or families needing support in these areas through private practice.
